Upcoming Event

AN EVENING WITH KAL RUDMAN

He’s been called the Prophet of Pop, the Round Mound of Sound, and the Big Beat. He’s
Kal Rudman – most famously known as the Man with the Golden Ears - and for over
four decades he’s run The Friday Morning Quarterback, one of the most influential trade
publications in the music industry. Come hear from Kal about his life and times and
join us for a reception afterwards. Learn how this local high school teacher became a
legendary music industry mogul.

Presented by:
The Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies (Drexel
University) and the Kal and Lucille Rudman Media Production Center (Temple
University)
Wednesday, May 30th
Bossone Research Center | Mitchell Auditorium
3140 Market Street | 6:30 p.m., reception to follow
RSVP: Karen Curry (karen.curry@drexel.edu)

Kal's work goes far beyond music. Just ask the students at Drexel University, Temple
University, University of the Arts and the Community College of Philadelphia. Kal
and his wife Lucille have sponsored innovative programs at these colleges that pave
the way for the next generation of media leaders. The Rudmans also support the work
of the Police and Fire Departments of Philadelphia, Camden’s Creative Arts Morgan
Village Academy Choir and dozens of other deserving groups. From the classroom, to
the studio, to the classroom again, Kal Rudman’s passion for music and for the city of
Philadelphia has been an inspiration to us all.

Hear the Creative Arts Morgan Village Academy Choir perform. Recently back
from winning second place in the Young Prague Music Competition in the Czech
Republic, they competed against high school and college choirs from eight countries!

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
